Take your breakfasts up a notch with this homemade honey walnut cream cheese. Made with just a few wholesome ingredients, this sweet and nutty cream cheese spread pairs perfectly with your morning bagel or slice of toast.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, plus more for topping
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Let the cream cheese come to room temperature. See the blog post for tips on softening cream cheese.
  2. Add the cream cheese to a small-medium mixing bowl and beat on medium speed until smooth. If cream cheese is softened properly, there should be little to no clumps in the spread. If there are some clumps, that's okay!
  3. Add honey, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the whipped cream cheese. Beat to combine.
  4. Add the chopped walnuts and fold using a rubber spatula or large spoon.
  5. Transfer the honey walnut cream cheese spread to a bowl or storage container. Top with extra nuts and honey before serving if desired.
