Hi Eva, thanks for reaching out! I have not used fresh pumpkin in this recipe, so I'm not sure if this would change the liquid content compared to canned pumpkin, it possibly could.

In general, most pumpkin pie recipes I have made have a thin consistency before baking. Let me know how your pie turns out after baking! I imagine if the fresh pumpkin has more liquid content, your pie may need to bake a little longer than this recipe calls for. Best of luck and happy Thanksgiving!

I haven't added the eggs or cream yet, but my puree is very watery. Should I put it in a colander and remove the liquid before adding eggs and cream?
